Hi, I am Chloe, a bilingual Speech language pathologist (English and ASL) WHo specialises in Dysphagia, Aphasia, articulation and phonological disorders. I am passionate about developing and providing personalized care to every individual seeking therapy services.

Speech Language Pathologist, M.S., CCC-SLP

I began my career as an SLP when I first attended Towson University and received a Bachelors of Science in 2017 in both Deaf Studies and Speech Language Pathology/Audiology, as well my Masters of Science (M.S.) at Gallaudet University in 2019 in Speech Language Pathology. I have had extensive training and experience with a variety of areas including medical, articulation/phonology, and deaf and hard of hearing. My most recent work experience included Frederick SLP & OT where I treated a variety of clients ranging from 2-99 years of age for the following areas: swallowing (dysphagia), expressive/receptive language (aphasia/agraphia/alexia), traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, cognition, articulation, phonology, as well as deaf and hard of hearing.

My past experiences as a SLP included Fort Washington Rehab and Medical Center where I specialized in treating adult and geriatric patients involving swallowing (dysphagia), expressive/receptive language (aphasia/agraphia/alexia), TBI, stroke, cognition, and tracheostomy. Additional work experience includes Shady Grove Outpatient Rehabilitation Hospital and Shady Grove Cancer Center for dysphagia, aphasia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and general cognitive rehabilitation as well as Prince George’s County Hospital and Autumn Lake at Bridge Park – ICU – regarding ventilator/tracheostomy care, PMSV (Passy Muir Speaking Valve) and dysphagia.

One of my deepest passions is also providing gentle, fun and motivating treatment for both hearing and deaf/hard of hearing children. I have provided specialized care for pediatrics in schools and outpatient clinics working with children (deaf and hard of hearing as well as hearing) of varying ages (6 months – 14 years of age) whom had had varying neurological disorders for articulation, phonological disorders, expressive /receptive language, pragmatics and autism. I am fluent in American Sign Language and encourage the use, preservation and respect of ASL for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing. Though I happily embrace those who choose to add an additional modality of communication through spoken English as every individual is unique in their preferences and needs. I have also completed training in PROMPT (PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) to assist with an array of articulation/phonological and neurological disorders.
